My company has a Microsoft Action Pack subscription, through which we have 10 licenses of Project 2007. I gave him the installation ID, punched in the code he gave me, and finally Project was activated.I stressed the point that the activation count was still wrong in their system, and that it should now be set to 6. I asked explicitly: 'If I try to activate four more installations of Project over the internet, using this same license key, will it work?' He assured me that yes, it would. He also gave me a number to call back if I needed further assistance.Yesterday I installed Project on a seventh machine. Did it activate successfully over the internet? Of course not. It still says the activation limit has been reached.

I called the number I was given earlier. It's just an alternate number for the automated phone activation hotline, which STILL consistently fails to transfer me to an actual person.I really don't feel like going through this whole damn process again for each of the four remaining Project installations I have to do, and I'll probably need to go through it a few more times to take care of Visio licensing, since that key is also close to its activation limit.

There's got to be a better way; if someone even knows how to get through to the activation call center from the hotline, that would be a huge help. Are you a MS Partner? If so you will should have a number to call other than the general number.

If not, the number you got through to will be able to put you in touch with the right person who can help you reset your license count. Tell them that the systems that had the licenses were taken off line and will not be reloaded.
